If your new landlord offers Whale and you’ve decided to seize this wealth building opportunity, smart choice. You’ll soon receive an email from notify@getwhale.co asking you to create an account and transfer your deposit from your bank to Whale.
It only takes 1-2 minutes and once you’re done you will start earning interest immediately.
Creating your Whale account
Just like other bank or brokerage accounts you open, you'll need to provide information that allows us to verify your identity, comply with federal regulations, and administer your account.
Here's what you'll be asked to provide:
Name, date of birth, email, phone, and address
Citizenship
Employment information
Link a bank account (to fund your account)
SSN or ITIN # (to verify your identity)
Agree to our Terms & Conditions
Additional verification required
In some cases, we'll require a bit more information to complete your application. This is usually as easy as sending us a copy/photo of a driver's license or utility bill.
